Into the Woods - Hunter Valley Gardens

After seeing Into the Woods, I decided to venture out on a fantasy adventure that turned out to be a 2 hour drive out of Sydney and into Hunter Valley. Although I love the convenience of living in the suburban areas of Sydney, it's really nice to get out of the city once in a while and explore the wide country roads and fresh scenery.

Hunter Valley is known for its fancy wine vineyards and delicate cheese tastings, but if you aren't into those sort of things like I am, Hunter Valley Gardens is an amazing spot to explore for a few hours. I've got to say that my favourite gardens were Storybook and Border Garden. Storybook garden is a path of nostalgic discoveries that can't help but draw out the creative and cheeky side of my persona. Border Garden has the most grandiose displays of vibrant flower beds and symmetrical bushes that very well agrees to my OCD side. Overall, Hunter Valley Gardens was a very good place to visit. It's probably a good idea to get there early so there's less people and to save yourself from massive traffic jams. Hunter Valley Gardens covers approximately 60 acres of garden displays and amenities, so be sure to pace yourself. I didn't cover all of the gardens and amenities just because of time constraints as well as some ongoing maintenance with certain parts of the garden. Below are the gardens that I did visit, so happy viewing!
